Bagnoregio Civita di Bagnoregio
The experience starts in Vitorchiano, the Suspended Village, perfect fusion between stone and architecture.
Meeting with the guide in front of Marzio’s Statue, to immersing yourself in the village streets, to discover the Casa del Rabbino and the Palazzo Comunale, to end the navigation on the bow of the Belvedere, where you will admire mysterious landscapes. The tour will end with a stop to the Moai Statue, one of a kind, to hear the echoes’ scents of Rapa Nui right at the heart of Vezza Valley.
7:00 p.m. departure to the secret mansion, selected for its antique charm, to dinner and night.
Bagnoregio, Civita di Bagnoregio, Castiglione in Teverina
8:30 a.m.: breakfast, the experience resumes with Bagnoregio and Civita di Bagnoregio. Perched on a tuffaceous outcrop overhanging the valley of Calanchi, the “Dying City” can only be reached by braving the 300-meter pedestrian bridge, its only link to the rest of the world, to indulge in the rough poetry of the tuff, as well as the moving wonder of the Calanchi views.
After lunch, it will be time to Castiglione in Teverina to be charmed by the medieval historic center. True star of the visit will be Muvis, the largest wine museum in Europe with the “Cathedral” and its gigantic 3.5-meter diameter barrels.
7:30 p.m Return to the mansion for dinner and overnight stay.
Bolsena, Graffignano, Sipicciano, Celleno.
8:30 a.m. breakfast at the mansion.
The experience continues with Bolsena. Starting from the ascent to the village, it will be natural to indulge in a long walk through alleys, ramps and stores with their medieval charm. The Monaldeschi della Cervara fortress, which dominates the entire area, offers an unforgettable view of the lake and its surrounding lands.
2 p.m. Arrival in Graffignano, a perfect castrum standing on a cliff, with the striking Baglioni Santacroce castle in the center and the houses hugging it all around, where Pirro Baglioni’s ghost seems to roam.
4 p.m. Departure for Sipicciano, to discover the Baglioni family hamlet. Passing through a characteristic archway, between two octagonal volcanic stone towers, we reach the Baronial Palace, an imposing stop before arriving at the hidden gem: the elegant Baglioni Chapel.
6 p.m. Arrival in Celleno. A true mystery, thanks to its Borgo Fantasma, it will be interesting to try to unravel the enigma surrounding it. Dominated by Castello Orsini, which was the residence of the artist Enrico Castellani, the Museum spread will guide visitors through the enchantment of the village, helping them to catch the reflections of the ghosts that still roam these places.
7:30 p.m. Return to the facility with dinner and overnight stay.
Roccalvecce, Sant’Angelo di Roccalvecce
8:30 a.m. Breakfast at the mansion. Head for Roccalvecce, to fall in love with the mysterious Costaguti Castle: beginning by moving among the magnificent frescoes on the main floor under the watchful gaze of the family’s ancestors, to descend into the dungeons where historic armor, tapestries and an ancient Roman cistern await.
The experience ends in Sant’Angelo di Roccalvecce: the “Land of Fairy Tales.” Once upon a time, there was an agricultural village that, thanks to the visionary genius of Gianluca Chiovelli, with the Acas Association, has been transformed into a wondrous open-air museum. A book of fairy tales to leaf through where the magic of colors and the fantasy of lines come together.
