Day 1

Civita di Bagnoregio, Bagnoregio.

The experience begins with Bagnoregio, from the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, passing through Piazza S. Agostino with the statue of St. Bonaventure to Belvedere Park-the starting point for the journey into the heart of the Pearl of the Calanchi. From here the Dying City is only a few hundred meters away, yet such is the strength of the intense emotional impact that you think you can reach out and touch infinity.
Civita di Bagnoregio. The 300 meters to walk over the bridge that connects Civita to Bagnoregio is a journey within a journey, with the destination being Santa Maria, the only gateway that exists today after an earthquake destroyed all the others nearly 400 years ago. The poetry of the tufa, which has shaped the unmistakable architecture of the place, as well as the moving wonder of the views of the Valley of the Calanchi, are worthwhile.

7:30 p.m. Departure for the secret mansion, specially selected for its ancient charm, with accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Graffignano, Vitorchiano.

8:30 a.m. Breakfast and departure for Graffignano, a perfect castrum standing on a cliff, with the striking Baglioni Santacroce castle at its center and the houses of the village huddling all around it, where the ghost of Pirro Baglioni is said to roam. The history of the manor is etched in its very bones, in the river pebbles that form the floors, in the stones of the spiral staircases to the vaults of the ceilings.

The exerience concludes with Vitorchiano, the “Suspended Village,” a perfect fusion of rock and architecture.
Meeting with the guide in front of the Statue of Martius, a gift of the great artist Luigi Fondi to the city, to immerse oneself in the streets of the village, discovering the Casa del Rabbino, so called because it was the ancient home of a Jewish family more than three hundred years ago, the Palazzo Comunale with its 16-meter clock tower, and finishing the tour at the Belvedere, from which it will be possible to admire mysterious breathtaking landscapes. The tour ends with a stop at the enigmatic Moai sculpture, the only existing Maori statue outside Easter Island, to hear the echo of the scents of exotic Rapa Nui in the heart of the Vezza Valley. End of services and departure.

5:00 p.m. departure time.
